Our Story - How DUNZ started in the Sahara Desert

DUNZ is an Inspiration from the nomadic lifestyle of the original tribes of the world.

In north Africa, those tribes explored earth, challenged life in it most extreme conditions. They conquered commerce & trade, and linked corners of the world. Then governments appeared, companies grew and brands replaced humans. In this transition nomads disappeared, or more accurately, mixed with habitants, settled in homes, and built relationships.

But even after generations, those tribes never abandoned their lifestyle, they never forgot the freedom, adventure, and exploration. Although they live among us, you don’t see them around. They’re always wandering, sometimes here, sometimes there, In a city, or in a town, or in the mountains, the valleys and the dunes.

Sometimes you’ll catch them wearing a soft colored scarf, with a dark colored shade on both ends. That’s Tagelmust, the scarf that their ancestors used to wear thousands of years ago. It almost seems like a fashion accessory, but to them, it represents freedom, adventure, and belonging.

DUNZ Launched from a small nomad town in the northwest of Africa, where the Sahara Desert meets the Atlantic ocean. From there we took on our mission to connect those nomads again, this time from all around the world. Our vision is a world where nomads recognize each other from first sight. Our code is this : If you recognize one, smile, compliment the wearer, and don’t mention the adventures in front of people.
